MANA 5000 - Spectator

Scottish winter running is no joke. Wind, rain or shine. Shoes on, turn that door handle and get out the door. Brutal!

As the days begin to get longer (and slightly less miserable ☔), we think it's time to celebrate your hard work over the winter months. 

MANA brings you this track event to you in collaboration with our partners to provide a positive, uplifting and high energy day for everyone. As always, ALL FACES ALL PACES welcome. A race? If you want it to be - you vs you. You vs the clock ⏱️

Runs will be coordinated in pace waves (to be released prior to event day) with pacing groups from above 30 minutes to sub 20 minutes. 

Run waves will either be in lanes 1-4 (12.5 laps) or lanes 5-8 (~11.5 laps). 

This event will not be chip timed. It is up to participants to "clock" their time at the finish line stop clock. We encourage participants to run the full official distance and not use their GPS watch time. 

MANA wants to emphasise that this isn't a typical running "race" environment, we realise the track can typically be scary. No winners, no losers. A celebration of hard work. With front and back pacers for each run wave, every runner is celebrated.

Nike will be joining us for a free shoe demo - a chance for you to try on the best running shoes on the market for your 5000m run (or just a test jog around the car park). Choose from their top of the range racing shoes or max cushioned all rounder shoes. 

The oval office full of runners chasing a shiny new PB - a beautiful thing. Your run wave group timing will be announced prior to the day. Our event pacers will gather you to the start line 5 minutes before run start. 

Bask in the glory, PB or no PB - you deserve it! Grab a post run coffee and pastry from the Interval Running fuelling station.

Interval will be in attendance with their run shop + coffee van acting as our event Fuelling Station. Serving coffees, pastries and Cadence products.

Cadence have been a valued fuelling partner for a number of MANA events as well as consistently on display in coffeebyMANA.

Cadence offer a wide range of hydration products including gels, electrolyte sachets and drink cans.

They will provide fuelling for the event via the Interval van.

We are delighted to have On Your Mark's Running Coaching on board to offer coach pacing for each of our 5000m run waves.

On Your Mark's will have a space to offer expert running advice, showcase their coaching services as well as provide that all important cheer squad. 

On your Mark's have been providing coaching the MANA x OYM Track Nights since spring '25 which has been a hugely successful partnership.

Pets are welcome to the event but must remain outside of track boundary area.

Please study the run waves table prior to the event (to be released at a later date). Upon arrival, please check in at MANA welcome desk to receive run wave bands. Run waves will be called and assembled as outlined.

Spectators, family, friends are all very welcome (and free) - bring the noise! Tickets can be secured online.
